Large ranches for sale across the American West have recently started getting more attention from interested buyers. Could this be a good sign that the economy is picking back up?
Over the last 2 years, real estate sales have declined across the board – not just large ranch real estate. Recently though, things have changed and people seem to be more interested in the larger, multi-use ranches.
Evidence of this trend can even be seen in major publications such as the Wall Street Journal, where a 2,070 acre Utah ranch surrounded by Zion National Park was mentioned. This particular ranch, Trees Ranch, is listed for $30 million by Ken Mirr of Mirr Ranch Group in Denver.
Famed photographer John Fielder published a book, Ranches of Colorado, which featured conservation properties in the state. The Mantle Ranch, a 525 deeded-acre Colorado ranch surrounded by Dinosaur National Monument, is a great example. This ranch even includes a 30,000 acre federal “grazing right.”
